Clinton Little League will be marching on Monday, May 30th, in the Annual Clinton Memorial Day Parade! Our town’s Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony is a long-standing tradition and one of the many events that makes this community so great.
As we celebrate Monday, let's remember the true meaning of Memorial Day. It is to honor and remember those who died defending our country’s freedom, and also an opportunity to thank those who have served in our armed forces protecting our nation. The sacrifices of our service men and women and their families are greatly appreciated by our League.
The details for the Memorial Day Parade are as follows:
- 10:00 AM: Players and Coaches will assemble in the parking lot behind Grand Apizza and Shore TV behind the Scouts. Players should wear their uniforms and hats. Shorts may also be worn, but please dress in attire that shows respect for the holiday.
- 11:00 AM: All marchers will begin walking out onto Route 1 east to the Town Green for the Memorial Service. After the ceremony, the parade will continue west, back to the center of town.
Please take this opportunity to talk to your children about why we honor and remember those who've served and sacrificed so much for us. No candy should be distributed by any CLL player. Thank You
If you have any questions about the parade, please contact your child's coach.
Enjoy your weekend and we will see you on Monday the 30th!
