PLAYER ASSESSMENTS &TRYOUTS INFO
by posted 01/12/2012

Player Assessments, Tryouts and Formation of Teams:
When forming teams, the League’s objective is to develop equally competitive teams in each Division. Player assessments are one way to accomplish this goal. Player Assessments will consist of various drills that showcase the player’s skills. League Officials will form teams based primarily on player’s skills with the objective to form balanced teams.
Some players who are trying out for the next higher division will be evaluated based on many skill factors. For instance, a League Age 10-year old is eligible to try out for the Majors Division, however may not “make the cut” based on the skill assessment of the League’s Player Agents and Commissioners. Team size and total number of registered players will also be a factor. All players will be eligible to play in the next division if they do not make the higher division.
Players in all divisions, except Peewees will participate in player assessments, tryouts and clinics on the following dates:
  • Sunday, March 4th   Majors Baseball Division
  • Sunday, March 11th Majors/Minors Softball and AAA Baseball Divisions
  • Sunday, March 18th AA and A Baseball Divisions
  • Sunday, March 25th Clinics
Times and locations will be determined at a later date.

Parents of eligible registered players will be notified of the exact time to attend immediately after registration is closed. Players must wear sneakers and bring their glove.  Players may bring their own bat.
